Colombo [Sri Lanka], January 9 (ANI): Sri Lanka is facing a deepening financial and humanitarian crisis that could lead it to bankruptcy in 2022 as inflation rises to record levels, said a media report.
Earlier, on August 30 last year, the Sri Lanka government announced a national financial emergency after a steep fall in the value of the country’s currency which caused a spike in food prices.
