SINGAPORE, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) — Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (SIPMM) announced on Thursday evening that the Singapore purchasing managers’ index (PMI), an early indicator of manufacturing activity, recorded a decrease of 0.2 points from the previous month to post a slower rate of expansion at 50.6.

This was due to slowing growth posted across most manufacturing sectors, said the SIPMM
