KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported another 17,577 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Friday, bringing the national total to 2,067,327, according to the health ministry.

Three of the new cases are imported and 17,574 are local transmissions, according to data released by the ministry.

Another 388 deaths were also recorded, bringing the death toll to 22,743.
