International Institute of Asian Studies Photo Contest 2014
Public voting is now open
The first phase of the IIAS Photo Contest 2014 has come to a close. More than 1000 photos were uploaded to our site between 1 January and 30 June! We would like to thank everyone who took part and who submitted photos to the contest.
During the month of July our jury made their long-list selections, which were uploaded to our Flickr.com album on August 1st. (http://tinyurl.com/IIASphotos)
It is now up to you, the public, to cast your vote and decide who will be the winner of the “Public Vote”. The winner will receive a gift certificate valued at 200 euros.
Between now and 29 August you can vote for your favourite photos by following these steps:
- Login to Flickr.com
- Go to the IIAS Photo Contest album (http://tinyurl.com/IIASphotos)
- Browse through all the photos
- Whenever you see a photo that you feel deserves a vote, click on the star at the bottom right-hand corner of the photo. This will place the photo on your “favourites” list.
Only click once!!! If you click again you will undo your vote.
The photo that receives the most “stars” will win!
The winner of the “Public Vote” will be announced during the first week of September, along with all the “Category Winners”, which have been selected by the jury. Announcements will be made on Flickr.com, the IIAS website, various IIAS social media platforms and through IIAS email updates.
All the photos submitted to the contest are eligible for publication in future issues of The Newsletter, but the winning photos (Category and Public Vote winners) will be given the spotlight in issue #69 of The Newsletter (October 2014; www.iias.nl/publications).
