JAKARTA, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) — A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted off Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province on Tuesday night without generating large waves, the country’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency said.

The earthquake occurred at 9:53 p.m. Jakarta time (1453 GMT), with its epicenter 42 km southeast of Parigi Moutong regency at a depth of 91 km.
