MANILA, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) — The Philippines reported 1,553 new COVID-19 infections on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,011,026.

The Department of Health (DOH) said the number of active cases rose to 16,754, while 17 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, bringing the death toll to 64,291.
