HANOI, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) — The police force in Vietnam has detected thousands of drug cases, seizing more than 4.6 tons of synthetic drugs so far this year, according to the country’s Ministry of Public Security.

Nearly 700 kg of heroin, 104 kg of opium and 259 kg of marijuana have been confiscated during the period, local newspaper Vietnam News cited the ministry on Tuesday.
