HANOI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) — Vietnam recorded 1,196 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, down by 30 from Tuesday, according to its ministry of health.

Among the new cases, two were imported and the rest were all locally transmitted, said the ministry.
