HANOI, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) — Authorities of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay have taken measures to prevent landslides in efforts to better preserve the natural wonder there.

A multitude of limestone islands and towering limestone pillars rising from the sea after millions of years of formation are currently at the risk of collapse and landslides, Vietnam News reported on Wednesday.
