UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is appointing Imran Riza of Pakistan as his new deputy special coordinator for Lebanon, a UN spokesman said on Thursday.

Riza will also serve as resident and humanitarian coordinator for Lebanon, Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for Guterres, told reporters at a press briefing.
