BANGKOK, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) — Thailand’s caretaker Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai on Thursday directed government agencies to expedite relief operations as continuous heavy rainfall led to widespread flooding in several areas of the Southeast Asian country.
