NEW YORK, USA – Zinat Hossain, a college student of Bangladeshi descent, was killed by suicide on a New York train line, according to U.S. authorities. Her family and the Bangladeshi expat community, however, disagree.

Md Kabir, Zinat’s grandfather, said on Saturday afternoon, before funeral prayers at the Baitul Jannah Mosque in Brooklyn:

“According to the police report, 23-year-old Zinat committed suicide
