COLOMBO, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka’s cabinet of ministers has approved a proposal by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to transform the historic city of Kandy into a well-planned and developed city, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said on Monday.

The PMD said in a statement that the government intends to take measures to accelerate the central expressway project that will make traveling easier to the city
