COLOMBO, June 27 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka’s central bank has blocked a proposal to sell fuel at selected gas stations for foreign currency, local media reported on Monday quoting Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera.

The minister told the media that there was a suggestion that a few gas stations should be allowed to sell fuel for U.S. dollars.
