COLOMBO, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) — The Sri Lankan government said on Monday it hoped to increase the production of herbal plants required for indigenous medicines to further strengthen the country’s ayurvedic sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was revealed at a meeting of the Presidential Task Force on Green Economy with Solutions to Climate Change held at the Environment Ministry, local media reported.
