COLOMBO, July 26 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka’s Election Commission announced on Friday that the country’s presidential election will be held on Sept. 21.

The Election Commission also announced Aug. 15 as the date of nomination of candidates for the election of the president, according to the gazette notification issued in this regard.
