COLOMBO, April 5 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka’s Inland Revenue Department (IRD) on Wednesday reported that the government has seen an increase in personal income tax with over 25 billion rupees (77.5 million U.S. dollars) being collected within the first quarter of 2023.

The IRD collected 3,106 million rupees in January, 10,540 million rupees in February and 11,931 million rupees in March.
