SINGAPORE, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) — Singapore reported 2,645 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total tally to 1,824,832.

Of the new cases, 320 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 2,325 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR confirmed cases, 310 were local transmissions and 10 were importe
