SINGAPORE, March 1 (Xinhua) — Singapore reported 24,080 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total tally to 748,504.

Of the new cases, 2,950 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 21,130 through ARTs (antigen rapid tests), according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases, 2,866 were local transmissions and 84 were imported
