SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) — South Korea’s beverage export hit a record high for the first nine months of this year, customs office data showed Tuesday.

Beverage shipment reached a new high of 529 million U.S. dollars in the January-September period, up 6.3 percent compared to the same period of last year, according to the Korea Customs Service.

The amount of exported beverage added 1.3 percent to 425,000 t
