RANGAMATI, Bangladesh – The traditional New Year festival of ethnic groups in Rangamati’s hill tract district, “Boisabi,” began on Tuesday after two years of muted celebrations due to the pandemic.

On “Phul Biju,” the first day of the three-day festival, members of the Chakma and Tripura communities in the district immersed flowers in Kaptai Lake.
