ISLAMABAD, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the country’s women are playing a vital role in building society and driving the nation’s economic progress.

“Women make up more than half of our population and play an essential part in shaping our country’s future,” the prime minister said in his message on the occasion of the National Working Women’s Day.
