Pakistani political parties have nominated their candidates for the upcoming presidential elections. However, experts say the new president will be too weak to carry forward the legacy of incumbent President Zardari. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari’s five-year term ends in September. According to the country’s constitution, the parliament must elect a new president one month prior to the retirement of the incumbent president. Initially, the election date had been set for August 6th, but after the intervention of the Pakistani Supreme Court, the poll will now be held a week in advance on July 30th.
