SINGAPORE, June 28 (Xinhua) — National University of Singapore (NUS) ranked 8th in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, the university said in a news release.

Rising three spots after holding the 11th position for the past five years, NUS is now recognized as one of the leading universities in the world and in Asia, said NUS President Tan Eng Chye.
