KATHMANDU, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — Inflation rate in Nepal grew to a 15-month high of 6.05 percent by mid-December due to rising food prices for the last few months, the central bank said on Friday.

The prices of vegetables in particular had surged by 43.05 percent, the Nepal Rastra Bank said in a report.

A higher inflation was recorded at 7.5 percent in mid-October 2023.
