YANGON, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) — The number of COVID-19 infections in Myanmar has risen to 533,959 with 144 new cases reported on Saturday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said the daily positivity rate stood at 1.23 percent and one more death registered in the past 24 hours took the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 19,309.
