KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Xinhua) — Malaysia’s wholesale and retail trade recorded sales value of 142.4 billion ringgit (30.4 billion U.S. dollars), an increase of 5.4 percent year-on-year in January, official data showed Wednesday.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a note that for monthly comparison, sales value fell 1.1 percent as compared to December 2023.
