KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) — Malaysia’s producer price index, which measures the prices of goods at the factory gate, declined 0.6 percent in January 2024, official data showed Tuesday.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia said that the mining sector fell 1.3 percent, affected by the drop in the index of extraction of natural gas.

At the same time, the manufacturing sector also decreased 0.9 percent
