KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) — Malaysia’s inflation rose 1.9 percent year on year in October, official data showed Friday.

The rise of inflation was driven by the higher increase in the main groups of food & beverages (2.3 percent) and personal care, social protection & miscellaneous goods & services (3.4 percent), the Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement.
