KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — Malaysia’s industrial production index (IPI) climbed by 5 percent year on year in June, sustaining a positive momentum for six consecutive months, official data showed Friday.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the output growth in the manufacturing sector led the growth, with an increase of 5.2 percent.
