KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported 922 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Tuesday, bringing the national total to 4,451,781, according to the health ministry.

There is one new imported case and 921 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

A further nine deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,564.
