KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported 9,002 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Tuesday, bringing the national total to 4,342,559, according to the health ministry.

There are 52 new imported cases and 8,950 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

A further 30 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,341.
