KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported another 17,150 new COVID-19 infections, the Health Ministry said on Sunday, bringing the national total to 1,130,422.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that one of the new cases is imported and 17,149 are local transmissions.

Another 160 more deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 9,184.
