KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) — Flooding in Malaysia’s northern Borneo states of Sarawak and Sabah worsened on Sunday with over 13,000 people displaced, according to local authorities.

In Sarawak, 11,840 evacuees were housed in 63 flood relief centers, while Sabah reported 1,453 evacuees as of 4 p.m. local time, according to the country’s social welfare department.
