BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) — The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

ANKARA — Turkey on Thursday confirmed 25,528 new COVID-19 cases, raising its tally of infections to 7,961,535, according to its health ministry.

The death toll from the virus in Turkey rose by 229 to 69,998, while 27,651 more people recovered in the last 24 hours.
