VIENTIANE, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) — Lao and Thai security forces will step up cooperation in border security, with the aim of reducing criminal activities along the two countries’ shared border.

A meeting of cooperation sub-committee on maintaining peace and order along Lao-Thai border was held in northern Laos’ Luang Prabang province on Feb. 13-16, Lao Army Television reported on Tuesday.
