Hamas fighters on Sunday confirmed the handover of 17 hostages to the Red Cross – the third round of hostage-prisoner swaps on day three of a fragile four-day truce between Israel and the Palestinian militants.

The hostages include 13 Israelis, three Thai nationals and one Russian.

The move comes a day after Hamas released 13 Israeli and four Thai hostages in exchange for 39 Palestinian prisoners.
