NEW DELHI, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) — India has won a United Nations award for its initiative to control and prevent hypertension under the government’s National Health Mission, officials said Thursday.

The India Hypertension Control Initiative (IHCI) is a large-scale hypertension intervention project which is recognized for its work within India’s existing primary healthcare system.
