KATHMANDU, Nepal – The impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana was tabled in the House of Representatives for further discussion on Sunday, a month after it was filed.

Dev Gurung, the CPN (Maoist) chief whip, tabled the motion.

On February 13, 98 lawmakers from the Nepali Congress, the Maoist Centre, and the CPN (Unified Socialist) signed the motion, effectively suspending Rana.
