GENEVA, Switzerland – On Monday, Pakistan received pledges totaling more than $10 billion to assist the country in recovering from last year’s catastrophic floods and strengthening its resilience to the ravages of climate change.

The unprecedented monsoon floods submerged vast swaths of the country, killing over 1,700 people and affecting over 33 million others.
