KATHMANDU, Nepal – Eight persons were arrested by Nepali police in an alleged instance of Uranium smuggling and illegal trade of the substance. Two Indian nationals, Upendra Kumar Mishra and Raju Thakur were among the eight people detained, according to The News.

The arrests were made when Nepali police discovered a “uranium-like substance” in the parking area of a five-star hotel on the outskirts of Kathmandu.
