BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) — Chinese Vice President Han Zheng has congratulated Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on his appointment as the Crown Prince of Kuwait.

In his message dated June 8, Han emphasized the traditional friendship between China and Kuwait, and noted that Kuwait was one of the first Gulf Arab countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China.
