DHAKA, Bangladesh – According to a government official, Bangladesh will close schools for one more day per week and reduce office hours to alleviate an electricity shortage.

The South Asian country began daily two-hour power outages last month.

Protesters have gathered on the streets recently following the government’s decisions to start electric load shedding and raise gasoline prices by more than 50%.
