Amritsar (Punjab) [India] July 11 (ANI): The Commissionerate Police has arrested an accused, identified as Vikramjit Singh, in an encounter in the Thana Gate Hakima area on Friday. During the exchange of fire, Singh sustained bullet injuries and was hospitalised for treatment.

According to police, a case has been registered against Singh under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
