COLOMBO, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) — Four deminers in Sri Lanka were wounded on Saturday when several mines exploded, the country’s police spokesman said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Nihal Thalduwa told the media that the incident happened in Mullaitivu in northern Sri Lanka, adding that the deminers were clearing unexploded mines from the past war zone when two explosions damaged a bulldozer and wounded four deminers.
