CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh – At least 12 firefighters were killed while attempting to extinguish a fire at an inland container depot in Chittagong’s Sitakunda upazila, in Bangladesh, on the weekend.

According to Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Md Mominur Rahman, the death toll from the explosion at BM Container Depot has risen to 49, with 12 of them being fire service personnel.
