YANGON, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) — Myanmar’s authorities have seized 204 kg of raw opium in the country’s eastern state of Shan, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control said in a statement on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotic police searched a vehicle in Loilem town in Shan state on Saturday and found the drugs in burlap bags on the vehicle.

The seized drugs had a street value of 61.2 million kyat
