KAMPALA, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — Thirteen Ugandans have been evacuated from Afghanistan shortly after the Taliban took over the country, Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued here Monday.

The statement said Uganda is committed to assisting the evacuation of any Ugandan nationals stranded in Afghanistan who wish to return home.
