BRUSSELS, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) — In the Belgian city of Bruges, 23 people went on trial on Wednesday suspected of involvement in the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants in 2019, Belgian media reported.
The bodies of the 39 migrants were discovered on Oct. 23, 2019, in a refrigerated truck in the county of Essex in the south of England.
The truck had left the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium the previous day.
