HANOI, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) — Vietnam reported 3,461 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, including 3,458 locally transmitted and three imported, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.

Most of the community cases were detected in southern localities, including 1,162 in Ho Chi Minh City, 501 in Dong Nai province and 486 in Binh Duong province.

The new infections brought the country’s total tally to 849,69
